See What a Cosmetic Makeover Can Do for You
Often times we see people for the first time, or maybe they’ve been patients for a long time, that they’ve noticed that things are changing in their mouth. Their teeth are wearing down, their teeth are getting discolored, they notice little chips here, they’re getting some jaw pain and some clicking and popping in their jaw. I tend to have a sit down with that patient, say, ‘Listen, let’s really do some studying of what’s going on with your bite. Let’s go on to figure out why is this happening.’ Once we can figure out why is it happening, then we can tailor a treatment plan that would allow for the patient to have a much more stable, functional, and aesthetic result for long term.
We can do things with crowns and veneers, or Invisalign, or just a simple adjusting of the bite that will allow for the patient to feel better about themselves. Often times we have patients that come in, and they didn’t even realize that they had jaw pain, and they didn’t realize there’s a tightness there, or they didn’t realize that they constantly get headaches. They’re struggling with this. The headaches are associate with their teeth, and their bite, and how they function.
So, if you can stabilize everything, and even everything out, and allow for a harmonious, function level with the bite, all of a sudden the headaches disappear. All of a sudden the clicking and popping maybe subsides, and the muscle pain that they never even realized they had until we pointed it out, is now completely gone and they feel far more comfortable.
On top of that, after you deal with the functional level of things, you have the aesthetics perspective. We can do things with veneers that would change the entire outlook of how someone smiles. They’re so much happier with how they are, from a self confidence standpoint. They can smile wide, and they know that, ‘This is how I feel my best now because I can show off my new smile,’ and know that it was done in the most appropriate and stabilized perspective.
