Dr. Kevin Groth, whether as a swim coach or a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, has always been passionate about teaching. In 2018, driven by this passion, Dr. Groth established an internship program aimed at educating aspiring dentistry professionals.
This yearlong program is tailored for recent college graduates aspiring to gain hands-on experience in a dental setting before pursuing dental school. Under the guidance of Dr. Groth, interns immerse themselves in Groth Dental's ethos of comprehensive patient care, learning both dental fundamentals and the intricacies of running a dental office. Throughout the internship, interns are trained as dental assistants and exposed to various aspects of dental office operations, including administrative tasks.
This immersive experience equips interns with a holistic understanding of dental practice operations and the collaborative effort required to deliver exceptional patient care. Upon completion, interns depart Groth Dental armed with a solid foundation in dentistry, patient interaction, and effective teamwork.

When I first started at Groth Dental, I knew very little about dentistry. I had no idea what was in store for me, but I knew I had found a passionate and inspired teacher in Dr. Kevin.
