You drive by and it makes you a little nervous. You’d like to go inside, but you worry it might be more than you can handle.

No, we aren’t talking about visiting one of the many “haunted” attractions that are open at this time of year. We are referring to going to the dentist, which is much more difficult if you are someone who struggles with dental anxiety.

At Groth Dental, we understand that fear of the dentist is a real concern. It’s also why we want to do everything we can to help you return to a dental chair.

Before you make an appointment, call our office in Bingham Farms, MI at 248-885-8247 to learn about our approach to patient care.

Make Your Comfort A Priority

We have learned a few things through our experiences caring for patients. One of the most important things is that patients are more likely to get the oral care they need when are comfortable at the dentist’s office.

That’s why your peace of mind is one of our top priorities at our practice.

As you become more familiar with our team, we think you will be able to schedule routine care. This gives us a better chance to prevent problems or to catch them in the early stages. That means treatments are more effective and less invasive.

We also know that dental anxiety doesn’t go away in one visit. However, we have noticed that patients’ fear decrease with each appointment with us.

You Are In Control

When you are at our office, you should know that you have a lot of control. If you have concerns about a particular piece of equipment, about a specific procedure, or about general care.

Many people have found that our comfort amenities make their time in a dental chair much easier. Want a soft pillow? A warm blanket? Both? Just ask.

If you prefer a distraction, so you can focus on something else while we do what we do, we have televisions in our rooms. We also have headphones so you don’t have to sounds of dental care. With Netflix and Hulu at our office, you can focus on one of your favorite shows or movies.

If you would like a refreshment, we have a beverage station. We also offer private care rooms, so you don’t have to feel self-conscious about other patients seeing you during your appointment.

If you feel that you need something else to relax, we offer sedation dentistry, too. Laughing gas can put in a relaxed state of mind in a matter of minutes. This will prevent pain and gagging, and keep you calm during your cleaning or other care.

When you are finished, we provide fresh oxygen, so you can feel like yourself before you leave.
